Public Interest Lawyers of Liberia (PILLS) is a dedicated organization committed to advancing justice and upholding the rule of law in Liberia. Our team of passionate and skilled lawyers works tirelessly to protect the rights of marginalized communities, promote human rights, and ensure access to justice for all.
To render free legal services (probono) to whomever maybe in need of legal help or representation and cannot afford it.
Indigent clients who require legal help, consultations, representation or other kinds of legal services they cannot afford.
Indigent criminal defendants who have come in conflict with the law or are at risk of getting in conflict with the law.
Victims of government oppression and other forms of abuse by public authorities.
Victims of human rights abuses and violations of all kinds.
Victims of spousal abuse, child abuse and molestations and neglects including persistent non support.
Victims of human rights abuse, violations, neglects and other forms of constitutional and law violations who seeks intervention or bay be a victim in need of help and is unaware of their perilous state especially, where the abuse has been structured, ingrained, inherent into systems, laws, policies and actions that run counter to public policy be it government, private and other public institutions committed to rendering services or catering to the public interests.
Any legal services that advanced the public interest whether by advocacy, policy research and change, legislations, good governance legislations and litigations, public accountability and transparency litigations, investigations, reporting and publications, petitions, lobbying campaigns and any legal action that promoted, advances and protects the public interest and trust.
